Last Day to Register for Early Primary


Whether you are backing Barack Obama or rooting for John McCain, one thing unites: voter registration. That’s right, with the Illinois’ primary moved up to an early Feb. 5 date, voter registrations are due early. The last day to register is Jan. 8 (today).

So the big question is: Where can you register in Champaign-Urbana?

Illini Union, southeast entrance, 1401 W. Green St., Urbana (7 a.m.-midnight)

Undergraduate Library, Lower Level Entrance Area (8 a.m.-5 p.m.)

Champaign County Clerk’s Office, 1776 E. Washington St., Urbana (8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.)

Champaign Public Library, 200 W. Green St., Champaign (9 a.m.-9 p.m.)

Urbana Free Library, 210 W. Green St., Urbana (9 a.m.-9 p.m.)

Champaign County Department of Motor Vehicles, 2401 W. Bradley Ave., Champaign (8 a.m.-5 p.m.)
