This Friday evening, Mike Lopez will be doing a “performative fabric installation piece” entitled “Pieces (Outhaus).” Mike says:
“For this addition to the Pieces collection, a custom bag will be made that includes a wrapping element that gradually covers the interior of the Outhaus. It is expected that on Dec. 8th this particular Piece will be over halfway completed and will allow for visitors to engage with the piece.”
I’m not going to lie, I don’t really know what that means, but I’m super intrigued. I like unique art installations, but I love ones I can interact with. It’ll take place from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Outhaus, 709 E Sunnycrest Drive in Urbana. “Backyard for art, inside the house for space and snacks and chatting.”
