Don’t forget to finish off with pineapple rum cake ($3.49) or a salted caramel chocolate chip cookie ($1.25). Photo by Jessica Hammie. (JH)

Rebel Without a Cause, The Virginia Theatre, 1 & 7 p.m., $6

Everyone loves (watching) a bad boy, and the Virginia Theatre is offering a chance to watch the most infamous one of all time this Labor Day weekend. Plus, Virginia Theatre organist David Schroeder performs on the Virginia’s historic Wurlitzer Pipe Organ at most News-Gazette screenings, and film critic Chuck Koplinski leads discussions after all of our evening screenings. Don’t miss it. (RP)

David Bazan Living Room Show, An Undisclosed Location in Champaign, 8 p.m., $25

The singer-songwriter of Pedro The Lion fame is on another short Living Room Tour, mostly around the state of Illinois. Catch Bazan on his stop in Champaign — you’ll know the exact address after making your ticket purchase here. (MR)

SUNDAY, September 6th

Visit Error Records, 12-5 p.m., 123 W Main St, Urbana

The news broke last week that Error Records is closing at the end of the month. Whether you’re a regular patron or have never been, it would be worth saying goodbye by making a purchase. In its two-plus years of existence, Error has filled a hole in the local record-collecting scene for those craving heavier material, and will be missed by many. (MR)
