I am the founder and president of the Illini Medical Screening Society (IMSS), a registered student organization at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. IMSS is a student-run mobile health clinic that provides free screening services to the uninsured and low-income residents of Champaign County.
I have also involved in community work with the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, the Illini Summer Opportunity Organization, Hope Community Health Center, Provena Covenant Hospital (volunteer dept), Carle Foundation Hospital (volunteer dept). I have been employed at the Illinois Department of Transportation as a summer civil engineer technician and the Retinal Consultants of Central Illinois as an ophthalmologist technician.
I hope to attend medical school in the midwest starting Fall 2010 to which I will then serve an underserved area as a licensed healthcare professional.
