I’m a recent Nashville transplant getting used to college town life.  I bike everywhere, and am gearing up to do the Hilly Hundred next October—my first long ride!  I’ve got about eight years left in my life as a student since I’m going for my MD and PhD, and I spend most of my workday playing with mutant mice and trying to sort out DNA.  I’m craving the things I used to love in Nashville—dive bars, karaoke, shuffleboard, meat-and-threes—and am in dire need of some locals to point me toward the best places to find them in Champaign-Urbana.  Other than that—I ride a quarter horse named Cowboy, am hooked on Urbana’s Farmer’s Market, and now write music articles (and maybe theatre ones soon) for the lovely Smile Politely!
