Nashville based singer-songwriter Adia Victoria brings her act to the Accord this Monday. Her style is heavily influenced by blues and country, which shines through on tracks like “Heathen”. Joining her will be Good at Bad and Fiona Kimble.

When: Tuesday, April 5th at 9 p.m.

Well known Jewish reggae artist Matisyahu will be performing at The Canopy Club Tuesday night. The event is sponsored by Illini Hillel and will feature special guest Nadim Azzam. This will be a celebration of music and coexistence. Get in the mood by listening to Matisyahu’s hit track “One Day”.

Local rock group Take Care is headlining this Tuesday night show. Also playing will be St. Louis post-rock group Staghorn, heavy drone group Au Revoir, and F//\M, a one-man post-rock project from Springfield, IL.

What: Kurt Vile and The Violators, Purling Hiss (solo)

When: Wednesday, April 6th at 8:30 p.m.

Prominent indie rock singer-songwriter Kurt Vile brings his show to The Accord Wednesday night. Known primarily as a solo act as well as being a part of The War on Drugs, Vile has crafted quite the music career. His latest album b’lieve i’m goin down was very well reviewed- check out the music video for “Pretty Pimpin”. Sharing the stage will be Purling Hiss.

What: Pure Bathing Culture

Where: Mike N Molly’s ($12)

When: Thursday, 7th at 8 p.m.

Portland, Oregon based indie-pop group Pure Bathing Culture will be playing this Thursday at Mike N Molly’s. Check out the music video for their hit track “Pray for Rain”. Supporting them will be Pillar Point, a solo indie-electronic project of Scott Reitherman.

Up and coming indie-folk group The Deep Hollow hit the stage at The Canopy Club this Thursdays night. Their debut album is due out later this month. Joining them will be Ryan Groff of Elsinore, and Emily Blue.

Country music star and actress Jana Kramer is coming to town to perform at The City Center on Friday. Known for her role in the TV show One Tree Hill, Kramer also has plenty of talent when it comes to singing- check out her song “Why Ya Wanna”.

Chicago based blues rock group The Band Avon Dale will be playing one of their last shows for a while as one of their band members will be leaving the country. They will be joined by fellow Chicago area rock groups Hitsleep and Molehill.

Come out early Sunday evening for Americana group Stahan & The Good Neighbors. They will be joined by local rock group Caleb Cook Band.

When: Sunday, April 10th at 10 p.m.

The week finishes out with a hip-hop show at The Canopy Club featuring CHISongwriter, who will be joined by C-U regulars Chase Baby and Truth AKA Trouble, along with Patrick, and DJ Love.
