The 50th annual Turkey Trot by Urbana Park District is coming up — November 23rd at Crystal Lake Park. Of course, a post like this should make you aware it is happening, but this year, they are asking for people to submit memories from past Turkey Trots — you can email memories (whether fond, goofy, exciting, etc) to [email protected] by November 1st. Email those things, plus contact information, if you’d like to participate. Plus shirts go on sale on the 1st as well.
Turkey Trot is Urbana Park’s annual fundraiser for the UPD Youth Scholarship Fund. The Urbana Park District offers partial fee waivers for those with demonstrated financial need so that you can better afford to participate in programs, especially in summer camps.
You can register in advance at the Phillips Recreation Center or on day of at 8 a.m. at the Lake House.
