You will now have another options for outdoor excursions in the area, at least in a limited way. Allerton Park and Retreat Center has opened trails on the South side of the park:
Guests should enter the Main (Allerton Road) Entrance to access the 6 miles of trail, consisting of the Schroth Trail and the McDonald Family Trails.
The North (Old Timber Road) Entrance and ALL gardens, roads, and facilities on the North side of the Park remain CLOSED to pedestrians and vehicles.
Please continue to observe all social distancing guidelines, and stay home if you are sick. You will not have access to restrooms, so plan ahead, and anything you bring with you needs to come home with you. There are no trashcans.
