Niala Boodhoo, the original host of The 21st, stepped down last summer after accepting a Knight-Wallace fellowship at University of Michigan.
New host, Brian Mackey, had his debut this week. He’s currently hosting the show from his home while we are under the stay-at-home order. Mackey has been a guest host for the show, and has been a statehouse reporter for WUIS-FM in Springfield for the past eight years.
Once he is able, he will rotate his broadcasts between the WILL studios here in Urbana, the WUIS studio in Springfield, and the state Capitol.
