Champaign Centennial Class of ’99 graduate and MMA fighter Dan Hornbuckle hit a big time news outlet this morning, as he’s featured on the front page of Yahoo Sports.
The story, “North American fighter Dan Hornbuckle brings hope to impoversed reservation in South Dakota”, discusses his fighting career at length, as well as his Cherokee heritage. The article briefly mentions his home of Mahomet, where he build an MMA academy in his home, which was an affiliate of the American Top Team.
