A new compilation album titled Without a Trellis has been released, featuring all local Champaign-Urbana musicians. Created by John McNally, the album is a fundraiser to help support small farmers experiencing natural disasters. From the album’s Bandcamp:
This compilation album is a fundraiser for small scale farmers that experience catastrophic natural disasters that interrupt their essential work of feeding us. Unlike large scale commodity farmers small scale farmers do not have access to crop insurance. Small scale farmers also have very limited access to government subsidies. These albums are a way to help farmers in their time of need so that they can continue to keep their farms open.
