As many of you probably know, Chester Street Bar suddenly closed last month to the surprise of many in Champaign-Urbana.
Yesterday, however, a few more questions were answered as a News-Gazette clipping revealed that the bar had been purchased by Scott Cochrane’s Cochrane Enterprise.
Though the piece reveals no details about whether the bar will remain the same or not, one can assume, based on Cochrane Enterprise’s other holdings, that the bar will change formats. With the recent development of Midtown Champaign, the sale seems to make more sense.
