Approximately once a month, Champaign County Humane Society’s Humane Educator and Investigator April Faulkner visits area nursing homes with some of the animals from the shelter. They often visits patients in memory care units, and will spark memories that residents have of pets they once owned.
When it feels like there is so much mess going on in the national news and beyond, it’s kinda nice to hear about these little pockets of goodness.
