The U of I’s Meat Science Lab (the butcher shop on campus where you can buy all sorts of meat and eggs) sends regular emails called Meat Mail — these announcements let subscribers know what sorts of meats are available. This week, for instance, included the announcement that the Meat Sciences Lab made over 1,000 pounds of bacon. One thousand pounds!
Even if you don’t rush out to buy whatever is being advertised, the emails are a fun break from reality, and even include meat-themed haikus. Here’s one from this week:
Its [sic] raining bacon
Head back and mouth wide open
Bacon in your mouth
