Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County is looking for teams to participate in Raise the Woof! on September 7th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the warehouse at 302 N. Broadway. Teams can be 4-8 people, and will be given build materials and some power tools to create their doghouse masterpiece, though Habitat is encouraging team members to bring their own materials to add personality and creativity to their projects.
The creations will be judged and awarded fabulous prizes in various categories, then will be on display at ReStore for two weeks following the competition, where the public can vote on their favorite and bid on them.
Even if you’re not building, show up to the event to see cute adoptable dogs from Hospice Hearts, grab some eats from a food truck, and watch the competition.
The entry fee is $250 per team, but teams are also encouraged to fundraise. There will prizes for the top fundraisers as well! You can sign up and find all of the details here.
