Updates from Pens to Lens, courtesy of Champaign Urbana Film Society:

CUFS has announced that films from last year’s Pens to Lens Gala screened at festivals around the world. “Fluffystein” was recently shown at the San Diego Comic-Con, where members of the CUFS were on a panel to discuss Pens to Lens. A selection also screened at SIGGRAPH 2014, the International Conference and Exhibition on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques, in Vancouver.

All of the films from both Pens to Lens Galas are now available on the CUFS YouTube page at www.youtube.com/user/CUfilmsociety. DVDs are also available for purchase at www.penstolens.com.

Pens to Lens started in 2013 as an opportunity for K-12 students to get involved with the local filmmaking community. Over 150 scripts were submitted this year and over 22 short films where selected and produced by local filmmakers. Script submission for the 2015 screenwriting competition will open up on February 1st, 2015, at www.PensToLens.com.
