Illini Basketball will be here soon, thankfully enough, because Illinois Football is trash. That said, Brad Underwood has landed a massive recruit — Ayo Dosunmu out of Morgan Park High School in Chicago.
As the Champaign Room reports, this is a big deal:
A five-star point guard out of Morgan Park High School (Chicago), Dosunmu is surrounded with a lot of hype. The last time Illinois landed a five-star recruit from Chicago? Think back to Dee Brown. Brown was named Mr. Basketball, Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Illinois, and he was also a McDonald’s All-American among many other accolades. All of these awards and recognitions are realistic expectations for Dosunmu entering his senior season.
We need something, anything for major Illini sports to have some sort of movement.
