Land Connection’s Farmers’ Market wraps up 2017 with return of the Monster Market

This year’s Land Connection Farmers’ Market comes to a close for the season next week — October 31st, Halloween! — and they are celebrating with this event.

This and Urbana’s Market at the Square, are wrapping up for 2017 — don’t miss out before it gets too cold.

From the Land Connection:

Celebrate the spookiest and tastiest night of the year at the Champaign Farmers’ Market, as we wrap up our 2017 season. Stock up on fall favorites from your local farmers and enjoy one last fall afternoon with us as October draws to a close.

For young and old alike, we’ll also have plenty of Halloween fun. Our vendors will all be stocked with sweet treats for booth trick-or-treating, so you (and/or the kids) can show off your costumes while you shop. We’ll also have childrens’ activities in the Market Seedlings tent, together with the City of Champaign and the Champaign Public Library, who will have spooky stories and giveaways. The Orpheum Children’s Science Museum will be out with their life-sized Frankenstein statue, aka “Farmer Frank” to take pictures with, and we’ll hold a costume contest at 4:30 for kids before they head out on the town in search of more candy.

We’re excited to welcome back Emily from Harvest Market with some fun Halloween and fall food ideas in the sampling tent. You can also pick up our fall/winter produce storage guide to help make your market bounty last.

Thank you so much to all of our shoppers, vendors, and supporters. This season has been a huge success, and we hope you’ll stop by to celebrate it with us!
