Champaign post-alternative / power pop band, Vestiges, released their latest offering back at the end of August. If the World Tour EP hasn’t been on your personal rotation since then, I hope it makes its way there now. Recorded at Urbana’s Shangri-Nah Studio, Vestige’s sound hangs out somewhere between Ben Fold’s Five and Death Cab’s older material with all of the innocent-but-rough-and-raw that you want out of power pop.
My personal favorite off this album is “World’s Greatest You,” but “Be Yourself Again” is a very close second and makes for a great driving song if you’re headed out into the world this weekend.
