April is National Poetry Month. Come celebrate at the first annual Poetry Palooza this Friday, April 24, at Caffe Paradiso in Urbana, beginning at 6 p.m. The night kicks off with an open mic followed by Chicago slam poet Dennis Florine (pictured, above) at 6:30 p.m. A slam poetry competition kicks off at 7 p.m. featuring some of the best young poets in Champaign-Urbana.
