Rantoul Theatre Group will conduct auditions for its upcoming production, The Tale of Snow White.
Director Katie Johnston is seeking adults and children to fill 20-30 roles. Auditions will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, and 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Grissom Hall Theatre, 914 Arends Blvd.
Performance dates are March 20-29.
The production is a comedy adaptation of the classic fairy tale. The story expands the Brothers Grimm tale with new characters, showing a contemporary family reading and reacting to the story that people have come to know and love.
The cast includes a gaggle of forest animals, friendly dwarf villagers, a troupe of ladies-in-waiting with a penchant for limericks, the huntsman’s squabbling conscience and even a nerdy governmental representative from the Department of Natural Resources.
