Last night Champaign-Urbana citizens took part in a nationwide protest calling for the protection of special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into possible collusion between President Donald Trump’s campaign and Russia — aka Trump’s dirty laundry.
This comes as a response to D.T. replacing Jeff Sessions with his chief of staff, Matthew Whitaker, as acting attorney general, spelling trouble for Mueller’s ongoing probe. Basically, it’s messy and the investigation is expected to lose its independence or shut down completely.
Protesters marched through downtown Champaign chanting “No one is above the law, Trump is not above the law.” At the end of the march they gathered at Westside Park where organizers led chants and talked about how Trump is losing his shit.
