School of Social Work has a lecture on socially assistive robots today

The School of Social Work is launching a year long series on “harnessing technology for social good.” The first lecture in the series is happening today at noon, and its focus will be “Opportunities and Challenges of Designing Socially Assistive Robots for Persons with Dementia.”

The event is free and open to all, and will be led by Jenay M. Beer, PhD, Assistant Professor, Institute of Gerontology, College of Public Health; School of Social Work, University of Georgia.
