Take Back the Night event scheduled for Thursday

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and there are many opportunities to engage locally. Thursday evening, R.A.C.E.S will be hosting a Take Back the Night event to raise awareness about sexual violence. Survivors, community members, students, and supporters are invited to join. Those coming from campus can meet at the Women’s Resource Center at 6:15 to take a bus to the event. Here’s a schedule for the evening:

6:00: Poster making session at the R.A.C.E.S. office (suite 154A Lincoln Square)

6:30: Gather on the west side of Lincoln Square (corner of Race and Green)

7:00: March to the main quad begins

There will be a rally and speak-out following the march, with the speak-out taking place in room 1092 of Lincoln Hall.

The march will take place regardless of weather (unless dangerous). A limited number of “I Stand with Survivors” t-shirts will be available before the march.
