If you are a registered voter and reside within the boundaries of the Urbana Park District, then you are eligible as a candidate for the Board of Commissioners. The UPD is looking to fill a vacancy to serve from May 8, 2018 to May 13, 2019. According to the UPD website:
The primary function of the Board is to establish and implement policies and objectives for effective administration and implementation of the park and recreation projects, activities, and programs to meet the needs of the citizens of the District.
