This election, you’ll be able to return your ballot by drop box

In order to make voting easier, the Champaign County Clerk’s office has set up actual ballot boxes for voters to return their mail in/absentee ballots.

With all of the anxiety around voting in person (COVID-19) and returning your mail in ballot by mail (USPS under attack by the right), you can simply drop off your ballot to one of five locations in C-U:

  • Brookens Adminstration Building
  • Urbana Free Library
  • Champaign Public Library
  • Douglass Branch Library
  • University of Illinois Quad, northwest corner

Ballots still need to be properly completed and signed, and must be returned by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3rd (election day). You can request your mail in ballot here. Register to vote here.

Ballot boxes are secure and open 24/7.
