Time for another round of vaccine clinics, open to residents who are 65+

Champaign-Urbana Public Health District has another round of vaccination clinics scheduled for next week, this time for anyone 65 and older. They will be held at the iHotel and former Dress Barn, as others have been. Here is the info:

To register at the iHotel, please use one of the following methods:

• Preferred method is online
• Scheduling is also available by calling (217) 239-7877 but individuals may experience a longer wait time.
• Entrance for the clinic is through the east wing of the iHotel and Conference Center.
• If you do not feel well the day of your appointment, please call to reschedule.

The former Dress Barn store in the Kohl’s Plaza, located at 1901 N. Market Street, Champaign, is by appointment only.

To register:

• Please call (217) 902-6100. Due to high call volume, you may experience an extended wait time so we appreciate your patience.
• If you do not feel well the day of your appointment, please call to reschedule.
Individuals that are 65 years of age and older that are unable to obtain an appointment next week can be placed on a wait list by calling 217-239-7877 or emailing [email protected].

Patients will need to wear a face covering, practice social distancing, and plan to allow at least 15 minutes for observation after the vaccination. Please limit the number of individuals in your party that are not receiving the vaccine and wear clothing to allow easy access to the upper portion of the arm for the injection.
The cost of the vaccine is currently being covered by the federal government and most insurance plans cover the cost to deliver the shot. If you have questions about what your personal coverage is, call your health plan provider at the number on the back of your insurance card. It is important to know that no one will be turned away or receive a charge if they do not have health insurance.
