U of I President Timothy Killeen hosting tele-town hall meeting this Thursday

This Thursday at 6:30 p.m., University of Illinois President Timothy Killeen will be hosting a tele-town hall meeting on the state of the University. Hopefully it goes better than Rodney Davis’.

The University of Illinois System is approaching the start of its third consecutive year without a full state appropriation.

As negotiations in Springfield continue, we need your help to get—and keep—higher education at the top of the lawmakers’ agendas.

The Office of Governmental Relations and Illinois Connection invite you to participate in a live telephone town hall with University of Illinois President Timothy L. Killeen.

President Killeen will address the state budget crisis and share how he plans to help the University weather the impasse. He then will take live questions from those calling in.

Discussion topics will include:

  • How the ongoing budget impasse is damaging to the U of I
  • How the U of I is managing its finances during the ongoing crisis
  • What you can do to help elected officials ensure U of I is a priority
