The Champaign Park District’s Martens Center, a facility that will be built at Human Kinetics Park, is going to have two education wings, and an anonymous donor has requested that one of them be named after an influential African American educator from the area.
That’s where you come in! The park district is asking for nominations from the community. So if you know of someone who fits the bill, head here to nominate them and give a brief explanation of why the wing should bear their name.
