Midwest Center for Investigative Reporting‘s article this morning has detailed an outbreak at Rantoul Foods, in which a company official confirmed that 21 cases of the virus have been linked to the meat processing plant just north of Champaign-Urbana.
According to the report, the plant processes between “30-35 million pounds of pork each month”, and “counting temporary employees, Rantoul Foods has 650 workers and produces 4.5 million servings of pork a day.”
