This week on Smile Politely Radio, Molly and Joel drop by the studio to tell us all about the second year of Tandem, a bike-themed art show. We got to talk a bit about their initial vision for connecting bikes and artwork, and how that has grown since the first exhibition last year. We also talked about some of the more interesting ways people have worked bikes into their artwork, or structured their artistic style around the subject of bicycling. And we touched on some of the new and different exhibits that will be possible thanks to the larger venue for this year’s show.
Tandem is a benefit for the Bike Project of Urbana-Champaign and will raise funds for the opening of a new location in north Champaign. The opening, complete with some special brew for your enjoyment, takes place at indi go Gallery on August 16th.
