A little peek at the Saturday morning Winter Farmers’ Market

The Winter Farmers’ Market located at the Lincoln Square Mall is a great place to spend your Saturday morning and interact with the people of the C-U community. From freshly harvested produce, handmade jewelry, flowers, wool figures, and so much more, the market has plenty of things to offer for those interested.

Some of the vendors included when I visited were Mama Bear Cookies who offers pretty decorated cookies with allergy options, Hooked on Wool Primitives who makes incredibly detailed wool figurines and knick knacks, Dragon Ink Dice who make custom dice, ashtrays, coasters, and dragons made from resin, and Illinois Willows who have specially cut flowers and woody ornaments. This is only a handful of vendors from the dozens that are at the Lincoln Square Mall every Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to noon. Make sure to stop by and support the people of this great community!

There are yellow cookies shaped like a lemon, pink cookies shaped like strawberries, red cookies shaped like a coffee cup, and pink cookies shaped like a donut. Next to the display are packed boxes of more cookies. Photo by Jorge Murga.
