Girls Rock C-U 2019 Summer Camp Showcase, various artists

Blackbird // no cover // 4 p.m.

This week has played host to the annual Girls Rock! C-U camp. Throughout the week, campers learn the basics of playing an instrument, form a band with fellow campers, attend workshops, write and record an original song, and it all culminates in performing live on stage at the showcase. This year there are two bands, and each will be peforming live for the first time at Blackbird this afternoon. There will be copies of the bands’ CDs available for purchase at the show. This is a great event to support some of the newest folks in our live music scene.
