The Odyssey Project, a Humanities Research Initiative that offers free humanities courses to low-income adults in the area, is now accepting applications for their spring session.
Students will take evening classes in literature, philosophy, U.S. history, and art history, all taught by U of I professors, and will be provided with:
- Free textbooks and course materials
- Access to computers
- Dinner on class nights
- Bus fare to and from class
- Academic and career advising
- Extra tutoring outside class
- Help accessing community resources
- A safe community for learning and discussion
At the end of the session, participants will have eight transferable college credits.
