Applications are open for the spring Odyssey Project cohort

The Odyssey Project, a Humanities Research Initiative that offers free humanities courses to low-income adults in the area, is now accepting applications for their spring session.

Students will take evening classes in literature, philosophy, U.S. history, and art history, all taught by U of I professors, and will be provided with:

  • Free textbooks and course materials
  • Access to computers
  • Dinner on class nights
  • Bus fare to and from class
  • Academic and career advising
  • Extra tutoring outside class
  • Help accessing community resources
  • A safe community for learning and discussion

At the end of the session, participants will have eight transferable college credits.

Apply at the Odyssey Project website by January 8th.
