Parkland College’s Giertz Gallery has announced the third artist lecture of its Around the Block III community art exhibition. Scheduled for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28th, this online event will feature artists Keenan Dailey and Crystal Hartman.
Dailey, “a multidisciplinary afrofuturist artist and designer, focuses on “disenfranchised and marginalized communities,” using “empathic systems of thinking and forges harmonious design solutions.”
Hartman, a multi-media artist, “draws on her time spent north of Ubud, Bali, Indonesia,” including “the sound of the Gamelan, the rituals, craft, and the rich culture in thick, lush life.”
