Audiofeed Festival taking on fifth year in C-U this weekend

Audiofeed Music Festival has now taken place at the Champaign County Fairgrounds for five years straight. It’s a festival like no other in Champaign-Urbana, having hosted over 300 bands in this short period, experimenting with all kinds of performances and visual arts, and even providing services for religious worship.

Audiofeed has always taken place on the 4th of July weekend, creating a great tradition for many. While music is the main attraction to the festival, the type of environment Audiofeed creates might be the main reason festival goers get the best experience possible.

They aim to “create an environment where unconditional love is nurtured, encouraged, and shared without regard for appearance, religious belief, race, societal status, or any other thing that separates us from each other in the world at large.  We believe that the perfect example of that Love was expressed through Jesus Christ and we do our best in fitful and imperfect ways to follow His example.   Exploration, questioning, doubts, fears, hopes, joys… all are welcomed and encouraged.  Ultimately we’re people who want to support each other and experience great music and art with others who feel the same way.”

They provide a home not only for those involved with religion but really anyone who enjoys a good show or unique performances. The festival has 8 different stages for bands, visual acts, and even podcasts to perform on, plus a family zone that provides activities for the entire family throughout the day, such as drum circles or more family oriented concerts. Shows start as early as 9 a.m. and run as late as midnight.

Some local bands in the lineup include ZXO, Euriah, We The Animals, and Earthholder

The festival runs from June 30th at 7 a.m. to July 2nd ending at 11:55 p.m., tickets are $40 per day or $80 for the entire weekend. Check out the complete schedule here.
