I just had one at Avionics and it was very yummy and refreshing. It was a good coffee alternative for my late morning visit.
Avionics’ house shrub is currently made with drinking vinegar, cascara (the dried skins of coffee fruits), anise, coriander, cinnamon, lemon peel, and Topo Chico. It was refreshing, as I noted, in part due to the Topo Chico. The warming spices were perfect for the season and balanced nicely — this was no heavy-handed potpourri beverage. It’s also this lovely golden brown-ombre color, which mimics the vibes outside at this time of year.
