The rumors are true! You can read the details in the News-Gazette article, but the quick and dirty is that Black Dog will open another location in Downtown Champaign sometime in 2014 (we hope). They’re taking over 116 North Chestnut, which is just east of Memphis on Main and just north of the old train station, which will soon be another location for Maize.
This is very exciting news, especially if it means more seating and more delicious BBQ. However, the building is not even close to restuarant-ready, so we’re a long way out from an opening. We’ll keep our eyes on it and see how things progress, and certainly keep you posted.
