Boneyard Creek Community Day is set for April 7th

Mark your calendars for Boneyard Creek Community Day. This annual event brings the community together to clean up various sites around Champaign-Urbana, and is appropriate for kids through seniors. You can register as a team or individual here. Details from the Facebook event page below:

Help restore the beauty of natural waterways by volunteering for the 13th annual Boneyard Creek Community Day on Saturday, April 7.

Individual and team registration is open at Everyone can participate! Work sites vary from projects in the creek to those more suitable for families and seniors.

Cleanup activities will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at noon. Immediately following, a free lunch for volunteers will be served at Scott Park, where there will be music and interactive learning displays. 2018 will mark Boneyard Creek Community Day’s 13th year!

The Boneyard Creek Community Day event is possible because of our many community volunteers. Volunteers clean up litter and non-native plants from areas all over Champaign Urbana. Work sites vary from those suitable for younger children to more challenging sites.
