Norfolk-Southern Railroad Corporation will be reconstructing the North Race Street railroad crossing surface between University Avenue and Griggs Street as part of the Boneyard Creek Improvements Project. North Race Street between University Avenue and Griggs Street will be closed to through traffic beginning on Thursday, August 7, 2014 starting at 8:00 A.M. and ending on Tuesday August 12, 2014 at 5:00 P.M., weather permitting.
A detour route is provided via University Avenue to Broadway Avenue to Main Street. Access will be maintained to all properties on Race Street during the railroad crossing work, but no through traffic will be permitted on Race Street between University Avenue and Griggs Street.
