Can you be a Snow Angel this winter?

As we watch the snow fall today, it seems like a good time for a reminder of the C-U Safe Routes to School and MTD Snow Angel Program. Just as this weather creates a dangerous situation on the roads, there is also an impact on sidewalks. Clear sidewalks are imperative for kids trying to get to school, as well as other community members need to walk or use wheelchairs on sidewalks and ramps and at bus stops.

When you sign up for the Snow Angel Program, you choose a specific block that C-U SRTS and MTD have designated as a priority for snow removal, then commit to clearing snow from the area 48 hours after a snowfall of 2 inches or more. You can do this as an individual, or sign up with a group.

You can find more information and the volunteer form on the C-U SRTS website.
