While the national America Recycles Day is November 15th, Champaign will be recognizing the day on October 29th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. You can sign up now, as an individual or with a group, to spend a couple of hours cleaning up the area around Boneyard Creek.
Volunteers will gather in the parking lot near Prosperity Gardens on North First Street, and will be provided with bags, buckets, and pick-up sticks to gather litter. You’ll even get a free t-shirt and pizza! Just be sure to where some sturdy shoes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty.
