The Brazil and Brazilians at UIUC community group is hosting a party to celebrate Brazilian Independence Day on Friday, September 7th at Radio Maria.
The party is a luau (which is not Brazilian), and will provide an opportunity to celebrate, dance, listen to music, and have some food. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Portuguese for Kids club, which provides free activities to the Champaign-Urbana community.
Tickets are $7 in advance; you can get them through these folks, or from Alice at Radio Maria (from 4 to 10 p.m.).
