On July 23rd and 24th, Spurlock Museum is hosting Drag Weekend. The event will kick off Saturday night at 7 p.m. with And the Answer is….Fabulous — drag trivia hosted by CU Lockdown Trivia’s Julie Laut, and Nicole Frydman from Uniting Pride, followed by a drag show featuring Sharon ShareAlike, Ava ShareAlike, Annie Hart, Ceduxion Carrington, and The First Lady of Champaign Urbana, Mona Monclair. Saturday’s festivies are intended for an adult audience.
For a family friendly event, come back on Sunday the 24th for Art with a Queen from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Attendees will join Annie Hart in creating projects to take home.
Many of the participating drag queens collaborated with Spurlock Museum for the temporary exhibit In Her Closet in 2019.
