Champaign County Forest Preserve District is looking for some volunteers to do spring clean up of Kickapoo Rail Trail on April 22nd, Earth Day.
There are two shifts, 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. No need to sign up, just show up at the west end of the trail in the Urbana Walmart parking lot at the beginning of the shift to get instructions and supplies. If you can stay the full two hours, great! If not, that’s okay too. A bunch of kids have the day off on Monday and they can come, but must be accompanied by an adult. Be sure to watch the weather so you can dress appropriately, and closed toe shoes are a must.
