Chen Chen, author of the When I Grow Up I Want to be a List of Further Possibilities will be doing a reading of his work at the Illini Union Bookstore. When I Grow Up I Want to be a List of Further Possibilities won the A Poulin, Jr Poetry Prize, the GLCA New Writers Award and was longlisted for the National Book Award, and Chen Chen himself was listed as one of the “Ten Poets Who Will Change the World” by Poets & Writers Magazine.
In order to kick off their 2018 Robert J. Carr Visiting Author series, the Creative Writing Program at UIUC is hosting Chen Chen for a reading at the Illini Union Bookstore from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 8th. The event is free and open to the public, so check it out!
