Chow Down in Campustown is happening this Thursday

Champaign Center Partnership’s 13 Thursdays promotion began a couple of weeks ago, but this will be an official launch of sorts for the summer promotion. 

13 Thursdays encourages the community to frequent Campustown businesses during the summer months. You can read more about it here

The Chow Down this Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., will feature food sampling, sidewalk sales, and activities on the Quad culminating with this week’s movie on the Quad, How to Train Your Dragon 3 at 9 p.m.

From the press release: 

Event check-in will open at 4:30 p.m. on May 30th at the JSM kiosk on Green Street (next to McDonald’s) and at the Alma Mater. Pick up your event map and passport at one of the check-in stations, then take a self-guided culinary tour through Campustown. Over 20 restaurants will feature free food samples from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Featured samples include: savory crepe bites, ice cream, mini acai bowls, bubble tea, tikka chicken bites and more.
