Developmental Services Center (DSC), an organization that helps individuals with disabilities becoming meaningfully involved in the community, has launched a new directory of area employers who are disability inclusive.
The directory is an extension of the LEAP program, which is a partnership between DSC and Community Choices that offers free training for businesses interested in becoming an inclusive place of employment. Jobseekers can use the directory to find employers that are hiring, and it’s a showcase of businesses in the area who have taken the initiative to include employees with disabilities. Employers can use the directory as a resource on making their business more accessible.
Interested employers will receive the free LEAP training for hiring managers, as well as Frontline Staff training for current employees. To start the process, employers should contact Maggie Baker at [email protected] or (217) 356-9176.
