Beginning December 1st, Champaign County Forest Preserve District will have Miniature Garden Winter Wonderland Kits available for purchase. For just $10, you’ll get everything you need to make your own little winter wonderland for display in your house, or to give to someone else. You can place your order online, then pick up your kit at either Homer Lake Interpretive Center or Museum of the Grand Prairie.
December 1st is also the day you can pick up a free “To Grandmother’s House We Go” craft bag from Museum of the Grand Prairie for more holiday crafting projects. They are available from 1 to 3 p.m., or as long as supplies last. The craft bags are being offered as part of a virtual version of the To Grandmother’s House We Go annual event, happening this Saturday, December 5th, at 10 a.m.
