Each year, Illini Hillel puts on a drag show in celebration of Purim, a Jewish holiday based on the story of Esther, a Jewish queen who saved her people from being murdered. After going virtual in 2021, the show is back in person at The Canopy Club on Thursday, March 10th from 9 to 11 p.m.
Tickets are $5 online, and $7 at the door. Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72 hours is required, and masks should be worn unless you are actively drinking.
The event is co-sponsored by Bend the Arc, University YMCA, and Uniting Pride of Champaign County. All profits will be given to Uniting Pride to support their programming.
